Meet "Sybil" from the Adventures in Thrift Shopping

Well, sad to say, it's been awhile since I went picking through thrift stores, antique malls, and estate sales.  It's been one wave short of a shipwreck around here since moving into a new house back in May.

Dear God, I STILL have stuff packed in boxes I haven't unpacked, sorted, and put away.  To say it's been an emotional roller coaster around here is an understatement!

So, I begged four kids in my house to help.

It didn't work.  It's against their "social" code.  Whatever THAT means.

Arts and Crafts, and Dandelions!

Hey Folks!  Summer is definitely here and so are a few finished pieces.  These two were done in between a special project we are working at here at Vintage Resurrections.

So let's get to showing them!

Vintage Resurrections® has it's own studio!

So a LOT has happened over the past few months besides getting all the kids through the last parts of school with all their dances, parties, and prom....

A Custom Made Piano Bench

I just finished up a custom piano bench for a client who saw the one I did a couple of years ago off the internet.  "Thank you Google!"  Not wanting to recreate the exact same thing (of course), this one became far more personalized cause I really thought she was a cool person even though I had never met her face-to-face before.

She needed a duet bench, which is roughly one that is longer so that two people can sit comfortable at the piano.  It had to have storage for all those FAB sheet music pieces she was going to collect!

My Daughters Dresser - WHAT a difference!

I've been asking my oldest to please let me redo her dresser for about 2 years now.   While having a fit over something (???), she took a day not too long, when I was just about to slide myself into a coma of a nap, to literally throw most of her furniture out into the hallway and scream, "Will you puh-LEASE paint this thing!".

Yes I did jump out of bed, thank you very much!

Her dresser has seen many days of hair fixations, and fix-ups, and endless moments of make overs.  All which have resulted in a completely crappy piece of furniture - complete with hair dye that took more than 5 coats of Kilz to cover over!
